About

The CHAT festival — an acronym for

Collaborations: Humanities, Arts, and Technology

— represents a partnership among academic and education institutions in the Research Triangle of North Carolina. The goal of CHAT is to bring together researchers, educators, students, artists, and professionals to discuss, demonstrate, and celebrate new media in the arts and humanities.

The biannual festival was first hosted in 2010 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, reprised in 2012 at Duke University, and in 2014 at North Carolina State University. The CHAT festival returns to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016.
